Site Design Update & New Premium Packages Are Live

This morning we released a major update to the site, probably our biggest single release ever in terms of the amount of code that was changed and added. We’ve been working on it since April.

As a result, two significant changes went into effect. Here’s a quick summary.

1. Our Site Is Now Mobile-Friendly

If something looks different about the site, that’s because we just changed almost every single page so it looks better on mobile phones. In addition, we’ve added a brand new navigation menu for smaller/mobile screens.

Check it out on your phone and let us know what you think (support@teamrankings.com).

To deliver a better site experience on mobile devices, we also needed to make things look at bit different when you visit the site from a computer.

The vast majority of pages on the site still feature the exact same content as they did yesterday, but some of it has moved around from a layout perspective. We’ve also completely redesigned a few of our more important pages, and worked to make some core features like navigation and data table filtering more streamlined and consistent.

Our primary goal with this design update was not to make the site look slicker and sexier. We just wanted to put in place the foundation and framing, you might say, for a site that functions well across all types of devices. We’ve got plenty more work to do, but we think this is a solid first step.

Two things in closing:

  • We really want to hear your feedback on this site design update, so please send along any thoughts, suggestions, or issues you stumble across to support@teamrankings.com

2. New Premium Packages And Prices For Betting Picks

Along with the site design update, we’ve also made some changes to our premium subscription packages. In short:

  • We used to have 2 options for subscriptions. For the past couple years, we’ve offered premium packages that either included access to our pool picks products (e.g. NFL Survivor Picks) or packages that included access to our betting picks and our pool picks. It was not possible to buy only our betting picks.
  • We now have 3 options for subscriptions. From now on, you can either buy access to our pool picks, or to our betting picks, or to both. Available options will be presented to you in our new checkout process, when you click to sign up from a betting picks page or pool picks page.
  • We’ve changed a few prices. Along with this change, we’ve also made a few pricing tweaks. We’ve lowered the cost to get a year’s worth of access to our betting picks, and we’ve raised the price of our month-to-month subscriptions and one-time season passes that include betting picks.
  • Yearly packages for betting picks are now an even better deal. For bettors, our yearly subscriptions are our most popular packages, and they remain an outstanding value (as low as $27/month). For bettor customers who prefer not to commit for the long term, our new month-to-month price for betting picks ($57/month, which is about $14/week for access to all game picks) remains substantially lower than the vast majority of comparable services.
  • Prices for our football pool picks have not changed. Our Football Pick’em Picks and NFL Survivor Picks products remain $49/each for the entire season, and we still offer an amazing deal on our annual Pool Picks Subscription, which gets you $176 worth of pool picks for only $98/year.

Just one final note: If you’re an existing subscriber on a recurring plan like our Yearly Subscription or annual Pool Picks Subscription, the price you pay will not change for as long as you remain active on your existing subscription. You’re locked in at the price at which you originally subscribed, until you cancel.
