Welcome to our 2022 NCAA Tournament survivor pool strategy and advice column, where we will provide some advice on strategies to employ in a survivor pool.

This year, we introduced a Survivor Pool Tool into our NCAA Bracket Picks product. It’s a version 1.0 tool, and we will learn plenty about future refinements to make throughout this year’s tournament. But there, you can find teams organized by day or by round, with some very rough estimates for future value and pick popularity.

This article will support and frequently reference the data in that tool. We’ll update this article throughout the tournament, all the way to the final.

2022 Final Four Survivor Pick Advice

We are down to the last four teams in the NCAA Tournament. In a survivor pool, this likely means that you are pretty much set on your strategy, using whichever team you still have available. In a pool that required a pick each day on Saturday and Sunday, by definition you have at most two teams still available, and you may have have only one.
