Conference Tournament Predictions 2015: March 4 Starts

Four conference tournaments begin today.

Below you will find our 2015 conference tournament projections for the Ohio Valley, Big South, Northeast, and America East tournaments.

All projections were generated before the first games tipped.

Ohio Valley Tournament Predictions

Our 2015 Ohio Valley bracket projection sees the Murray State Racers, led by Cameron Payne, as the clear favorite to be conference champion.

If they do win their conference tournament, our Murray State bracketology projection sees them most likely to be a 13 seed in the 2015 NCAA tournament.

Big South Tournament Predictions

Our 2015 Big South bracket projection sees Coastal Carolina as the conference champion 44% the time, more than double the odds of any other team. This is true even though the Chanticleers are seeded third in their tournament.

If they do win their conference tournament, our Coastal Carolina bracketology projection sees them as a likely 15 seed in the 2015 NCAA bracket.

Northeast Conference Tournament Predictions

Our 2015 Northeast Conference bracket projection has St. Francis (NY) as a strong favorite for the conference championship.

If they do win their conference tournament, our St. Francis (NY) bracketology projection sees the Terriers as a likely 16 seed in the NCAA tournament.

America East Tournament Predictions

Our 2015 America East bracket projection sees the championship game as likely to be one of the closest conference tournament finals this year, if the two top seeded teams get there.

Albany is the favorite and projected to win the tournament 45% of the time. However, the Vermont Catamounts are nipping at their heels with a 35% chance to get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012.

According to our NCAA bracketology Albany is most likely to be a 14 seed if they can win their conference tournament, while Vermont is most likely to be a 16 seed.

(One note when filling out your brackets: the last two times the America East team was in a play-in game in Dayton, they won: 2013-14 Albany and 2011-12 Vermont.)
