Serena Williams at Wimbledon
Serena Williams Wimbledon History
Serena Williams has had considerable success at Wimbledon. Williams is the two-time defending Wimbledon champion, and also won back-to-back titles in 2002 and 2003. However, she is just now coming back from an injury, having missed the last three Grand Slam events. The last time she missed two straight grand slam events, the latter of which was 2006 Wimbledon, Williams lost in the quarterfinals in her comeback event. Serena Williams's Wimbledon match record over her career is 57-7, so if there is a major event where she has enough margin of error to overcome a little rust, Wimbledon could be it.
Serena Williams Wimbledon Outlook
At this year's Wimbledon Williams is not projected to have any 'gimme' opponents in the early rounds. The most likely Serena Williams Wimbledon result this year is for her to win the whole tournament. But the second most likely result after a Williams Wimbledon win is for her to lose in the fourth round. It's a feast or famine tournament for her.
