For the most part, these stats are similar to those seen in a normal box score, except they are from the defender's point of view. For example, DFTM stands for Defensive Free Throws Made and indicates how many made free throws resulted from fouls by that individual player.
The rest are calculated based on formulas created by Dean Oliver, and published in Basketball On Paper. In brief... Stops and Scores are the number of opponent possessions a player ended in a good (Stops) or bad (Scores) way. DPoss = Defensive Possessions, calculated as Stops+Scores. Stop% = Stops/DPoss (50% is about average). %DPoss = an estimate of how involved in the offense this player's man was (average is 20%). DRtg = Defensive Rating, which takes into account both Stop%, and how involved the player was on the defensive end.
