2010 NCAA Tournament Bracket Odds

The NCAA bracket odds table at left lists the percentage odds for each 2010 NCAA tournament team to reach successive rounds of the NCAA tournament bracket.

Using win odds calculations derived from our power ratings, we analyze the likelihood and expected outcome of every possible path to the NCAA championship for each tournament team, and then compute overall percentage odds for each team to survive each round.

For example, if Syracuse has the number 35.0% in the "F4" column, it means that Syracuse has a 35% chance of making it to the Final Four based on its seed and resulting likelihood of bracket matchups.

IMPORTANT NOTE
These odds use the most recent data we have on team performance. You WILL see them change slightly from day to day.

Why? Because between Selection Sunday and the start of the NCAA Tournament, games are still happening: the NCAA Play-in game on Tuesday, and NIT Tournament games as well.

Every time a new game score is reported, it affects the power ratings of multiple teams -- the teams that played, the teams those teams played during the regular season, and so on. Our power ratings are a sophisticated and highly reactive system, and our goal is to deliver you the most recent information we have.
