Our Systems
2+ Stars and Star Basis
Many of our customers have their own systems for applying our data. However, we are also tracking two primary betting systems for each of our algorithmic models, for both ATS and totals. You can view the up to date 2009 NBA playoffs results for these systems directly to the left.
2+ Stars system means betting one unit on any game that the model in question rates as a 2-star or better pick. To follow this system, you would only bet on 2+ star picks and you would always bet the same amount.
Star Basis system means betting the same number of units as the number of stars assigned to each game. In this system, you would bet on every single game, and bet one unit on every one-star pick, two units on every two-star pick, etc.
At this point, we have not done enough back testing to recommend any particular system over another, but we know that users are curious to track these sorts of results, so we provide them.
